Director of the Business Unit "Automotive & Industry" Thomas joined the SUSI&James team in February 2021. Thanks to his many years of experience and industry-specific know-how, Thomas is able to continuously develop the business unit.

Thomas comes from the coast of Germany and is passionate about water sports, such as kitesurfing and sailing. He combines work and private life, as Thomas is a proud member of a small family with whom he loves to spend time.Already during his studies, Thomas worked in various companies and soon gained his first professional experience. His fields of activity ranged from designing special machinery to auditing and plant controlling for a German consumer goods manufacturer in China.
Thomas wrote his thesis in an iron foundry about "Total Productive Maintenance", i.e. the optimization of processes and the achievement of KPIs. After graduating as an industrial engineer, Thomas remained active in the field of optimization. As part of his work, he was employed as a project manager in the area of supplier development in the automotive industry and supported companies in meeting their delivery obligations.lling of a German consumer goods manufacturer in China.
Through his skills and ambitious approach, Thomas also led internal strategic business development programs, successfully increasing growth and productivity. SUSI&James recognized the ambition and passion with which Thomas approaches his work - supported by his qualifications - and attracted him to join our team.
The overriding focus is on business unit development (Automotive & Industry business unit). In this context, Thomas has the task of always generating upcoming projects through his work in sales, implementing projects with qualified and motivated personnel and ultimately handing over "a SUSI" to the customer that convinces all parties involved.
"I want to put artificial intelligence (our Digital Employee SUSI) to good use in industry. SUSI should provide immediate added value in projects for both the employees and the company.”
Here, he uses his industry-specific expertise in sales by introducing customers to our Digital Employee SUSI and its possible applications, identifying needs and creating use cases with customers. "Many customers immediately think of artificial intelligence as the perfect control of all business processes, which is a bit science fiction. It's about taking the burden off humans by means of AI. Organizational symbiosis is our guiding principle. To quote our founder: People are the gold standard.
"At SUSI & James, this should naturally also be reflected: Employees are involved in decisions, projects are conceived and developed together and successfully completed as a team effort. Responsibility for and independence in one's own work share is important to him in his employees, "In order for colleagues to be successful, continuous organizational development is crucial. Employees involved in a project must be able to perform their tasks and achieve their goals efficiently, productively and without obstacles. This only works if we collectively set goals, live standards, and critically question and change both."
Aktuell arbeiten Thomas und seine Kollegen, gemeinsam mit einem Partner der Automobilindustrie daran, künstliche Intelligenz für eine Vielzahl von Qualitäts- und Produktionsprozessen zu befähigen. „Der positive Einfluss von SUSI, auf Mitarbeiterzufriedenheit und Unternehmensergebnisse gleichermaßen, wird in den nächsten Jahren gigantisch sein.“
