In May 2019, Dimitri joined the SUSI&James team as a software developer. Due to his ability to be patient, Dimitri is able to overcome technological issues and problems and come up with appropriate solutions.
"To me, SUSI&James is an innovative company that takes on challenges and wants to move the world."
Dimitri is a very diplomatic and patient person. In all areas, professional as well as private, Dimitri tries to see the essential and to understand the core of a matter. In his private life, he is usually concerned with geopolitical issues as well as historical and cultural developments in the world. He also enjoys art of different forms, for example music, moving image, acting, painting and good design.
Dimitri studied Applied Computer Science and initially worked for another employer. Even before joining SUSI&James, Dimitri gained a lot of experience in software development. Through our employee Julian Dimitri became aware of SUSI&James and became excited about SUSI&James' vision and upcoming product developments. Looking back, Dimitri notes an evolution since joining the SUSI&James team. "I have learned to find new ways and perspectives more easily to face challenges in a smarter way.
"The ability to look at problems from different perspectives is an important aspect of Dimitri's daily work. This ability helps him to identify the "unkown-unkowns" and to work out functional solutions.
As a Lead Developer, Dimitri establishes requirements for quality features of a product where possible and supports the team in evolving technologically and adapting new technologies.
"It is important to me to bring SUSI&James forward as a company through my contribution. My personal goal is that SUSI&James grows and scales - economically, professionally and humanly.”
Furthermore, he supports the team in requirements engineering, helps to specify requirements and derive possible tasks for the team in the implementation. "It is important to understand what the customer wants and how to implement these requirements. Are there issues or specifications that have not been addressed? Basically, every developer should pay attention to this.
"If our developers encounter problems while working on a project, Dimitri's job includes giving them goal-oriented advice and helping to solve the problem. Dimitri also actively programs in projects. Here he supports the business unit "EVA" in embedding new functions into our customer projects.
He is partially involved in various projects that are product-related. His cross-functional way of working between the business unit "EVA" and the other business units, in which the projects originate, helps him in this. He is particularly enthusiastic about our core product "EVA".
We thank Dimitri for the interview and are happy to have him in our team!
