Als innovationsgetriebenes Unternehmen ist es der Anspruch der SUSI&James, auf höchstem technologischem Niveau zu agieren. Dazu ist insbesondere eine Nähe zur wissenschaftlichen und industriellen Forschung von großer Wichtigkeit. Aus diesem Grund hat sich SUSI&James entschieden an Forschungsprojekten zu partizipieren.
Dabei werden verfügbare Forschungsprogramme kontinuierlich hinsichtlich inhaltlicher Passung zur SUSI&James bewertet. Mithilfe von Industriepartnerschaften, konsortialen Forschungsunterfangen und dem wissenschaftlichen Dialog mit Forschungseinrichtungen wird das übergeordnete Ziel verfolgt, die Nutzerfahrung im Umgang mit Künstlicher Intelligenz und damit auch den eigenen Produkten stetig zu verbessern.

H2SkaProMo
As part of the H2SkaProMo research project, a foundation stone is to be laid for the necessary flexible and scalable production of fuel cell stacks. The production of fuel cell stacks is to be economically mapped with industry-oriented and scalable production systems. By integrating a wide range of data sources, SUSI&James creates a digital twin to monitor and optimize the complex production process.
KARLI Research Project
In the KARLI research project, SUSI&James is dedicated to the exciting topics of "interactions in the vehicle of the future" and "autonomous driving". With the help of AI and voice interfaces, data relating to the driving situation and condition of the drivers is recorded and processed. Based on this intelligent collection of feedback, the digital voice assistant supports level-appropriate driving behaviour and enables a safer and more pleasant journey.

The procedure secures the hybrid voice assistant for SUSI&James
If, for example, an AI cannot answer a question from the user, it can be supported by a human in the background and not recognizable to the user. Thus, the intelligence of AI and that of humans merge, the user experiences the best possible interaction with an artificial intelligence, completely free of media discontinuities.
This process leads to a continuous improvement of AI and relieves human colleagues, who can use the resulting freedom for value-adding activities and relevant communication that cannot be replaced by AI.
