Natural Language Processing (NLP)

Natural Language Processing (NLP) is a subfield of artificial intelligence that deals with the processing and analysis of human language. It is a technology that enables computers to understand human language in such a way that they can process it and respond in a meaningful way.

A simple example of NLP would be a search engine that responds to a question in natural language, or an intelligent digital worker that can respond to voice commands. NLP technologies are also used in areas such as chatbots, machine translation, sentiment analysis, and text classification.

Machine Learning

Machine learning is a subfield of artificial intelligence in which computers learn independently without being explicitly programmed. In contrast, traditional approaches to programming involve the manual creation of rules and algorithms by humans to solve specific tasks.

Machine learning instead provides the computer with large amounts of data from which it can learn patterns and relationships. These patterns can then be used to make predictions or decisions as new data becomes available.

A well-known example of machine learning is the use of recommendation systems in online stores. Here, the stores use machine learning algorithms to generate product recommendations based on the customers' purchasing behavior.

Speech synthesis

Speech synthesis, also known as text-to-speech (TTS), is a technology in which computers convert text into spoken language. This can produce human-like voices that can imitate a variety of languages and accents.

Speech synthesis is used in a wide range of applications, including car navigation systems, phone systems, educational games, and assistance systems for people with visual or hearing impairments. The technology is also used in our Digital Collaborators to create the best possible experience for users.

Speech recognition

Speech recognition, also known as speech-to-text (STT), is a technology in which computers convert spoken language into text. Speech recognition is used in a variety of applications, including voice assistants, translation services, dictation software, and voice controls for smart devices.

The technology is also used in our Digital Workforce to create the best possible experience for users.
