Katharina joined our team as a software developer in May 2021. She is currently working in a project as "Head of Frontend Development" and supports the project management through her advanced activities.

After her year abroad in New Zealand, Katharina moved to Heidelberg to study computational linguistics. She quickly made friends and finds the computational linguistics and software community very familiar.
During her studies, she worked in parallel as a research assistant on various research projects and thus learned further practical skills along the way. As part of her research work, Katharina has already been involved in the publication of several scientific papers.
In the summer semester of 2021, she successfully completed her bachelor's degree and got in touch with the developer community of SUSI&James via social networks. Since then, Katharina supports the software developer team at SUSI&James.

SUSI&James particularly attracted Katharina because, as a startup company in the technology industry, it offers many opportunities to gain experience in different areas and to develop freely accordingly. As she likes to implement creative projects, which is also reflected in her design hobbies such as handicrafts and painting, she is continuing her education in graphic design on the side.
At SUSI&James, Katharina is currently working on a project in the automotive industry and is responsible for the development of various user interfaces. She is especially responsible for the implementation of responsive designs for the different applications. This gives her the opportunity to gain more experience in the field of User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX).
Katharina supports the developer team at SUSI&James as a full-stack developer and in the future would also like to increasingly contribute her superpower to projects with a focus on language processing, natural language understanding (NLU) and machine learning.
