Jan joined our development team as a backend engineer at the end of 2020. He focuses on speech processing (conversational AI) and works on machine learning projects.

Already during his master's degree in computational physics, Jan specialized in machine learning. He wrote his master's thesis at HCI in Heidelberg in the field of Deep Learning. After his master's degree, he worked there as a research assistant on machine learning topics.
Jan was particularly enthusiastic about the topics of artificial intelligence and speech processing, so after a short break after his master's degree, he wanted to join a young dynamic start-up. He found it exciting to be part of a younger company that deals with progressive and highly topical issues.
Bringing AI into the application was very important to Jan, which is why he decided to become a part of the SUSI&James family.

Jan specializes in machine learning and language processing and has a keen interest in innovative technologies. At SUSI&James, Jan's tasks as a Backend Developer are versatile.
From developing new competencies of the EVA platform, to constructing the conversation flows that the AI covers, to deployment and support. He participates in the entire lifecycle of a Digital Employee. Jan most enjoys working on projects that use Machine Learning.
